Changing a user name, internet alias, or password

You can change a user's name, internet alias, or password at any time. You'll typically need to change a password because a user has forgotten it.

To change names, aliases, or passwords, follow these steps:
1 Open the Web & File Admin program, if it's not already open.
2 Choose Show Users & Groups List from the Web & File Admin program's Users menu.
The Users & Groups List window appears.
3 Double-click the user you want to edit in the Users & Groups List window.
The user's User window appears.
4 To change the user's name, select the current name in the Name text box and type a new name.
For naming guidelines, see Creating New Users.
5 To change the user's password, select the current password in the Password text box and type a new password.
For password creation guidelines, see Creating a New User.
6 To change the user's Internet alias, select the current Internet alias in the Internet Alias text box and type a new Internet alias.
